What makes me a Singaporean ?
Wow , what a nice question to ask . *grins*
Obviously, it is cause I am born in singapore , have black hair and black eyes . Not only so, I wear specs which most Singaporeans do nowadays , due to the high technology . Hehe .
Also , I am a Singaporean , as "singlish" (singapore english) which consists of "la" , "leh" , "hmm" , "arh" and "orh" , are my favourite words . It just can't get out of my mouth . ^^
Also , like most Singaporeans , I LOVE to queue up and get free gifts, even though it is a waste of time. One example is the recent free books that are given out at 4 different schools, at each part of Singapore ; north , south , east and west . Eventhough I hate to wake up so early , I still did . I was taken aback by the big crowd , but i still went to "try my luck" , by queueing and waiting , just to see if there are any books which can be of use to me .
I am proud , to be a Singaporean , because despite the things which I dislike to do , when people criticize about it , I would be fuming . Another example would be that eventhough I dislike attending my CCA training , when people says bad things about it, I would be fuming .
Other than that , most Singaporeans are very "kiasu" , which I am too . When other people have a certain thing , I would also like to have it . This is so , as eventhough the thing may not be up of use , if I do not have that particular thing , I may not be "in" . Hence , I am very kiasu . An example would be that , in a geography test , AAA loses XXX by 3 marks . AAA would than try his best to win back XXX in the next test . This is so , as if AAA loses, AAA would be looked upon as someone whom is stupid .
Lastly , I also think that I am a Singaporean , as most Singaporeans likes to go those new places that have just been open . I could vividly remember , about 2years ago, when VivoCity was just opened , despite knowing the fact that alot of people would be there and then it would be crowded . Also , obviously the fact that things would be more expensive , and then we would not buy . We just went there, for the sake of going . It is something which most Singaporean do and likes to do . ((:
Hence , I am PROUD, to be a SINGAPOREN !
